Message from the President

Happy New Year to all San Diego Rocketeers!

This year, 18 launches from San Diego Parks and Rec.  There will be a total of 5 starts at 9 am so mark your calendars.  The late start dates come with an additional caveat this year, there are in place permits that go till 10 am, but Fiesta will be opened to traffic at 9 am.  It is unlikely that any of the groups (bike racers, triathlons, and iron man) will be using the OTL field - but if they are, we will get access to it at 10.

All DART club dues are due in January.  Please send in your payment to Mike Jerauld or check in with him or Todd Mullin at the launches.  If you are a current member from 2007, check your listing in the blue notebook club roster and make sure your contact info is up to date.  There are again weekday launches on calendar 1st Thursdays.  These launches are set aside primarily for school and professional group launches but are available to current DART members that are also NAR or TRA members.  Please contact Mike Jerauld if you are interested in using any of these Thursday dates:

All DART Board of Director positions are open for nominations in January. Currently I, Mike Jerauld, hold both President, Treasurer, and Secretary positions.  Vice President is held by Todd Mullin, and section advisor by Andy Woerner.  If anyone would like to take a more active part in the operation of the club please step up!  I am still enjoying the role of "his most excellent Señor El Presidenté for Life (or until I can get someone to take this cockamamie job)" and am happy to continue in it as long as the membership can stand me.  Please make any nominations either by email or in person at the January 13th or 26th launch.  Voting will be held on Sunday,  February 10th at 10 am.
